NORM supports the implementation of programs, policies, and practices to manage RSM risk. The Insurance Project Coordinator supports/ assists Director in administering, maintaining & improving insurance processes in connection with the Firm’s business insurance programs (i.e. general liability, auto liability, workers comp, property, privacy & security (cyber), umbrella, professional liability and various other policies). The insurance team also serves as the firm’s insurance department providing certificates of insurance and responding to various other internal customers’ insurance inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Interacts with other internal function professionals (NORM Quality & Risk (QRM), National Finance, Legal, Procurement, Real Estate, Marketing, HR Benefits, Data Security incident response team, regional personnel) communicating insurance coverage reference tool, , gathering information for annual renewal of firm insurance, analysis re: acquisitions, assisting regions with incidents and claims processes related to auto accidents and office property losses, etc.
• Liaises with firm’s insurance brokers in connection with insurance renewals providing exposure information through the completion of insurance applications, asking for input on inquiries, coordinating certificates of insurance and insurance claims, etc. Participates in insurance renewal strategy meetings.
• Day-to-day supervision of staff (currently 2 part-time dedicated) who assist with coordinating certificates of insurance, reporting certain claims to brokers/ carriers (i.e. auto liability, property claims) and other miscellaneous.
• Serves as the firm’s ‘insurance department’ responding to internal customers’ requests (i.e. insurance inquiries from other internal (ICS) groups, client proposal writers and local office personnel). Reviews and provides input re:client or vendor basic insurance requirements in contracts/ office leases. Maintains COI request forms and insurance FAQs and SharePoint site.
• Participates in acquisition due diligence phase reviewing prospects’ insurance coverage and ensuring insurance coverage is effective on acquired date.
• Improve insurance processes and assists with other ad hoc projects, including policy governance.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years’ experience
• CIP (Certified Insurance Professional)
• ARM (Associate in Risk Management)
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite & SharePoint
• Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills for multiple and or complex projects
• Collaborates with all levels to accomplish results
• Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 years of insurance experience
• Professional services firm experience
• Knowledge of commercial insurance industry
• Contract review experience
• Delegation/ supervisory skills
