Description
The Not For Profit (NFP) Corporate Banking Intern position is critical in 2019 to help the team drive a new rebuilding approach from a sales and marketing perspective. The Intern acquires a broad understanding of Commercial Banking activities and processes and becomes acquainted with a number of colleagues.
Primary role of the intern will be to support the daily routines and assist on various and special projects and initiatives of the Head of NFP/Healthcare and Security Finance. Duties include but are not limited to
• Supporting the NFP Business Development with sales related projects, including support of sales calls and sales management reporting
• Updating NFP marketing materials to encompass the Bank’s new capabilities (i.e. Clarfeld acquisition as one example)
• Building out the NFP team’s prospect database by incorporating external sources into SFDC database (i.e. currently, NFP team has ~3,000 prospects vs. Massachusetts 501 c(3) records of > 25,000 organizations.
• Supporting the Head of NFP Banking with projects as needed
• Actively supporting Business Development Officers in the field by building prospect lists and identifying contacts and points of entry into new companies
• Preparing presentations and materials and attending all business relevant meetings (internally and externally)
• Some traveling required, primarily to greater New England lines of business offices, for exposure to other senior leaders and colleagues and the respective processes and procedures resident in Corporate Banking
Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong and effective project management and organizational skills
• Quick learner and good judgment
• Initiative taker who can multi-task and handle multiple priorities
• Teamwork and relationship-orientation
• Strong work ethic
• Networking prowess with peers, other colleagues and senior management
• Software skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and particularly PowerPoint
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
