The purpose of the Benefit Analyst position is to assist our Account Managers and individual insurance clients by:
--Facilitate benefit plan marketing and analysis
--Provide direct client service for small group employee benefit plan administration.
--Assist customers interested in purchasing individual medical insurance during annual enrollment season.
The Benefit Analyst job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1) Preparation and submission of requests for proposal to insurance carriers.
2) Gather/compile client census data for benefit plan quoting purposes.
3) Review of carrier proposals, providing analytical and technical support to Account Manager.
4) Compile benefit plan quotes and other reporting into Microsoft Excel for comprehensive comparison
5) Participate in the preparation and distribution of benefits communication and educational materials.
6) Provide client service for eligibility, enrollment and claims issues.
7) Answer telephone or schedule in-office meetings and assist customers who inquire about purchasing individual health insurance.
8) Enroll individual clients in medical, dental, vision, life and/or disability insurance plans.
9) Update date in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Training provided on specific software.
Skill Requirements:
--Work well in a team environment; take instruction.
--Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
--Familiar with or prior use of Microsoft Outlook
--Extremely organized with ability to multi-task.
--Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
--Proficiency working with numbers.
--Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
--Experience in a customer service role..
