Overview of the Role
We are looking for a strong product marketer with experience in financial services/asset management, specifically in Exchange Traded Products, Indexes, and/or Quantitative Investment Strategies. This position will own the development and execution of product marketing strategies and content creation for ETFs, ETNs and indices by partnering with both the ETP team in Darien, CT and the Marketing teams in Denver. Working in a highly collaborative fashion, you will interact closely with the ETP team, other parts of Investments, Marketing and Distribution to create compelling product stories. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced culture, has a thorough understanding of the ETP market and investment products in general, as well as classic marketing matters such as brand, promotion brand and distribution channels. The successful candidate will be able to take broad direction, and then formulate and execute on specific marketing tactics drawing on expertise and resources across the firm. While experience in owned, earned, and paid marketing is all relevant, owned content is the focus of the role, and the ability to creatively take complex investment concepts and distill them into clear and simple content is the priority. The candidate could work out of either Denver, CO or Darien, CT, but will have to spend meaningful time in both locations.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will:
• Develop and execute on marketing strategy for Janus Henderson Exchange Traded Products, included ETFs, ETNs and Indices
• Partner with ETP leadership and product specialists to create compelling vehicle capability and product stories for each range of ETPs
• Create and oversee production of new product marketing content (e.g. webpages, sales aids, videos, product brochures); Collaborate closely with ETP leadership and product specialists, distribution, design, compliance and channel marketing to produce high quality and effective marketing materials
• Partner with channel marketing to create distribution strategy for product content including email, web, print, etc.
• Own consistency of messaging and data reporting across product marketing materials, performance communications and webpages
• Partner with ETP leadership to manage and prioritize budget across both product type (ETF, ETN, Index) and delivery mechanisms (webinars, advertising, conferences, etc.)
• Partner with web team to enhance/maximize digital marketing and digital client experience, including custom interactive tools
• Partner with and manage external vendors for projects including web development
• Partner with ETP leadership and product specialists to educate marketing and sales about campaigns, programs, advertising, tactics, etc. that are being launched or in market (via email, web, conference calls and in person training sessions) to ensure alignment and successful execution
• Research and understand competitors to enhance knowledge and incorporate industry best practices into our strategy and materials

Technical Skills and Qualifications
• Exchange Traded marketplace, investment product knowledge and story-building expertise required
• Ability to conceive, direct and execute innovative strategic projects from start to finish
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to work across all levels of the organization
• Strong understanding of the investment products marketplace and distribution process, including in-depth knowledge of how products are priced, packaged, and positioned across varying channels
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of and ability to interpret and chart financial data
• Thorough understanding of industry compliance requirements
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Five years marketing experience within the financial services industry or equivalent required, with at least two years’ experience specific to related products
• Intermediary or institutional experience preferred
• Previous experience that includes direct contact with sales force and in-depth knowledge of the sales process preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Industry specific certificates or licenses preferred
Working Environment:
• Typical office environment with PC, telephone, copier, fax machine, etc.
• Meaningful travel will be required between locations
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
• Annual Performance Appraisal
• Completion of all assigned Compliance training
• Annual Attestation (Knowledge and Competence in-scope roles only)
