Job Description
• Supervises operations of one or more discrete units or teams in operations; may be geographically separated from department management.
• Modifies procedures to improve performance of units supervised within framework of established policies.
• Develops plans to achieve short-term team goals and complete assigned projects.
• Work supervised is generally divided into 2 or 3 discrete functions and employees supervised are usually between 10 and 20.
• Approves payroll.
• Monitors daily work flow and adjust staff responsibilities as needed.
• Recommends and implements the achievement of process enhancements.
• Develops relationships with management of internal and external functions/departments to enhance productivity of managed units.
• Seeks to influence others as needed to gain support and sponsorship for departmental initiatives.
• Manages bank conversions as they pertain to managed operational units.
• Assists in the promotion of innovation and ingenuity in addressing recurring issues.
• Assists in developing overall operational plans for assigned areas of operations. Participates in the development of strategic operational plans and leads the implementation of plans.
• Coaches and develops employees; ensures performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employees.
• Develops and manages the team by recruiting, training and coaching.
Job Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years related experience required
In-depth knowledge of processes and procedures of related areas is preferred.
Strong leadership, coaching, counseling, and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Knowledge of relevant banking rules and policies is preferred.
Some budgetary management experience is preferred.
The ability to balance competing priorities and make sound business decisions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.
