The Brokerage Operations Team Lead provides direction, instruction, guidance, support and assistance to the team of Operations Specialists supporting the process manager. This role will act as a first level of escalation for the team and will direct workflow and distribute work pertaining to the department. The Team Lead will resolve complex issues and problems dealing with Operations processes and will support and back-up the Broker Services Liaisons staff. Oversee current policies and procedures for the department. Review and analyze the effectiveness of procedures, recommend changes and improvements as appropriate. Act as a resource for internal and external audits.
Principal Accountabilities:
Direct the workflow and all tasks pertaining to the department. Provide direction, instructions, guidance , support and assistance to the specialists. Assist in ongoing monitoring and providing feedback to the operations specialists to ensure compliance with processing policies and procedures.
Assist with resolving complex issues and problems dealing with Operations processes.
Perform audits of internal controls that consist of reviewing data integrity and ensuring transactions are processed in accordance with policy and procedures.
Conduct and/or assist with projects for the department.
Support and back-up the Broker Liaisons Service team.
Training - Train new Operations team members. Cross-train team members on other functions within the department. Train other FCIS staff on Operations specific processes as needed.
Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of brokerage operations experience
OR
High school diploma or GED with 4 years of brokerage operations experience.
Series 7 or 99 preferred
Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills in routine and non-routine situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel & Outlook
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work under pressure with deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
