Role Value Proposition:
IT Financial Portfolio Analyst will be part of a team whose focus is on defining strategy and delivering services to support the US Application Development organization, including financial analysis of IT portfolios and/or projects, streamlining processes, improving quality and reducing effort. The team will support program and portfolio managers on all financial analysis and status reporting. This role will also support the rollout of methodologies, processes and standardization of tools. The primary focus for this position will be financial analysis of the IT portfolio but will also have responsibilities for other administration support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles of an IT portfolio support, interpret and analyze portfolio and governance decisions that impact budgets, forecasts and other related financial impacts
• Analyze complex IT portfolio financials
• Investigate material variances/inconsistencies identified during reconciliations, determine root cause of the issue and resolve by working with source data contacts
• Ensure portfolio accurately reflects payments and accruals
• Track, analyze and forecast FTE and consultant spend and trends
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
• 7+ years working experience in IT Financial Management
• 3+ years of experience managing/analyzing complex IT portfolio financials
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
Preferred:
• Experience using Clarity, PeopleSoft, and Cognos reporting a plus
• Previous experience in insurance or financial services industry
• Excellent customer relationship, communications and presentation skills with ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization
• Process mindset with ability to quickly identify current business processes, deficiencies and improvement opportunities
