The Senior Manager will provide leadership for our Medicare/Medicaid cost report and Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) audit team. The position will lead the Compliance/Monitoring of all Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) for Audit and Reimbursement, aide in the National Cost Report Risk Assessment Process, and provide training and education of MACs, CMS and other contractors for Audit and Reimbursement issues.
Essential Functions:
• Provide strong leadership on audit engagements, effectively supervising staff to provide quality deliverables within the defined deadlines
• Assist in completing project deliverables and manage flow of audits through required process
• Provide quality assurance reviews on audit and attestation working papers and reports completed by other team members
• Schedule and plan required contract functions and activities.
• Perform final review of contract requirements and deliverables audit fieldwork
• Perform various assignments relating to Medicaid reimbursement
• Coordinate staffing on projects to meet strict deadlines
• Provide high level technical knowledge and training to staff
• Mentor staff by delivering timely feedback
• Maintain security of and confidentiality of all protected health information
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in accounting/finance required
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, 10 years preferred
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• Must have experience leading contract activities
• Demonstrated high level of expertise with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be able to learn a significant amount of information in a short time-frame
• Effectively manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
• Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with project management (Pro Systems FX) software preferred
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs (up to 20%)
