Description
As the Supervisor of Separate Accounts, you will have an opportunity to lead a finance operations team responsible for trading, pricing and reconciliation functions for OneAmerica’s insurance and retirement products. You will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a team of exceptional talent that makes innovation possible; one of your main focuses will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team to become the best associates they can be. To achieve this, the Separate Account Supervisor must be a creative problem solver who is able to dream in immense scale, effectively lead people, and deliver meaningful results that keenly drive productivity and efficiency. Some of the position’s key responsibilities include:
• Leading and developing a team of 7+ associates responsible for trading, pricing and recon responsibilities
• Acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining audit measures and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
• Mentoring, training, and developing associates for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes
• Creating, communicating, and maintaining quality control policies and standard work procedures for associates li>
• Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to improve customer satisfaction and back office operations
• Building and delivering productivity plans by reviewing scorecard measures, aligning with OneAmerica Way of Operations, and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance teams
Requirements
This is an exciting time of change and growth within OneAmerica, and this department especially, so a driven and experienced leader is needed to position the team for change and expanded responsibilities. Minimum qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field OR 5+ years leadership experience
• You pride yourself on leading associates; you have direct experience managing a team and have been responsible for supporting their performance and growth
Preferred qualifications:
• You are leader and exhibit that in your everyday work. You not only have experience in managing 5 or more front-line associates, you also lead large-scale process improvements
• You have experience working with or leading people in Finance Operations, Accounting, or Financial Reporting functions
• You have the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, and when given a deadline you know how to motivate yourself and associates and meet it
• You see value in long term thinking and large scale impact to a company. You have interest in developing a long-term career through assignments and projects across divisions and locations within the company
