Position Overview
The Project Management Senior role will be part of the Enterprise BTO - Corporate Technology department within the Information Technology Division at Freddie Mac. The position will be responsible for the planning and execution of IT projects for the Business portfolios supported by the Enterprise BTO – Corporate Technology team. Managing such projects will involve leading a cross functional team to achieve project objectives, managing the project through the entire life cycle, and managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks and issues.
Your Work Falls Three Primary Categories
Project Execution
• Manage and execute multiple IT delivery projects per established baselines or commitments
• Maintain and implement project plans including schedules, budgets, and resources
• Identify and manage project risks and issues on a timely basis. Determine and implement solutions to promptly resolve project issues.
• Coordinate and communicate project dependencies
• Work independently with limited direction from the PM Tech Lead or management
Project Administration
• Plan, develop, and manage project business cases and approvals
• Define and develop detailed project schedules, resource and work plans
• Report project progress, issues and risks through weekly status reports
• Communicate effectively and concisely in both verbal and written forms
• Perform impact assessments of new scope and changes to scope
• Measure and report on project health and KPIs
• Identify and implement cross-project efficiencies where possible
• Maintain integrated progress tracking and reporting as needed
Technology/Partnership
• Establish and maintain functional relationships with project stakeholders and partners from business divisions and various internal IT departments
• Establish and maintain functional relationships with external product vendors and service providers
• Identify and recommend technology solutions to meet business needs and priorities
Qualifications
• 7 plus years of technical project management experience and implementing IT systems
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Strong background, aptitude delivering projects for Enterprise IT applications
• Proficiency and experience utilizing methodologies (EDM, Agile, SDLC)
• Ability to report on project level plans/progress to Technical and Business partners at various levels (staff level to Senior Executive level)
• Experience with Microsoft Suite (word, excel, PowerPoint, Visio, project), Planview, and Share Point
