American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers a suite of payment and lending products to help businesses and organizations of all sizes gain financial savings, control and efficiency. The Finance team supports the business through analysis of existing and potential acquisition and marketing strategies.
The Senior Analyst is a key member of the GCS LFO Finance team, and will work closely with the GCS Marketing organization to drive spend and deepen relationships with our Commercial customers. This role is a blend of strategy, decision support, and project delivery. It presents a unique opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, support marketing efforts, and shape the way that GCS Finance adds value to business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify opportunities to change the way we do business, develop and present key analyses, and drive growth.
• Support the development and delivery of strategies that enable prospect engagement across marketing channels
• Draw value-added insights from complex financial data, identifying portfolio trends and optimizing business decisions (primarily using SQL & SAS)
• Support an on-going effort to reshape how we optimize our investments, make smarter funding decisions, and highlight the profitability of our investments pool

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree (Quantitative / Finance degree preferred)
• SQL, SAS Experience is preferred. Desire to learn is required.
• Experience working with Amex systems (i.e. TM1) is a plus
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
