Job Description
Position Summary
Visa’s North America Business Operations (BizOps) team is part of the North America Operations team, which works in support of the North America region. The four main areas of responsibilities for the team are i) special projects in support of the North America business ii) content and curation for key client-facing and internal events iii) sales intelligence and analytical reporting for our client-facing account teams iv) core business operations projects, e.g., scorecards/dashboards, compliance, audit, etc.
BizOps is hiring a Senior Director, Business Operations. This is a critical role within the North America Operations team. This role reports to the VP, Business Operations. This individual will work with a variety of functions in the North America market across the four main areas of responsibility described above, with a focus on special projects and core business operations.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a background in consulting/strategy as well as operational experience: strong project management skills, driving change in cross-functional settings and bias toward action and output will all be critical attributes. The role will routinely involve quickly grasping complex topics, problem solving and develop execution plans. Projects will typically involve rapid turnaround times and time-critical decisions. This person will build relationships across functional areas (Sales, Finance, Product, Marketing, etc.) in the North America organization.
Responsibilities
• Lead BizOps projects in support of the North America leadership team
• Develop scorecards for the North America business and ensure the ongoing production of scorecard updates in a timely manner
• Define, manage and embed new BAU processes in support of the business
• Manage project-related interactions and communications with functional leaders across the North America organization
• Support the production of executive presentations, speeches, FAQs, etc. for various internal and external Visa events
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training to junior members of the BizOps team
Qualifications
Qualifications
• 12+ years experience - management consulting, business operations and payments industry experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree
• Project management experience
• Exceptional problem solving skills, able to multi-task and manage competing priorities
• Highly organized
• Intellectually curious about the payments industry and the cards business
• Ability to influence others, including senior management and clients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Composure and clarity required to interact with senior management, executives, senior clients, etc.
• Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations and solutions
• Team oriented, collaborative and diplomatic
