Location:Houston, TX
Join the Texas/Southeast operation of the iDesk. Significantly grow our client base leveraging local brokerage relationships as well as developing direct relationships via active participation in industry events. Oversee the provision of TM resources where required.
Opportunity:
• Working as a member of an eleven person team, you will have the opportunity to work with our offices around the world and create relationships with our senior professionals across all disciplines
• The team is globally funded with stakeholders in the Americas, EMEA and APAC: you will be responsible for insuring the business objectives of all three regions are satisfied
• Based in Houston, you will work daily with our brokerage colleagues to uncover and develop new business opportunities
Duties:
• Learn and utilize our global platform and be able to sell it competently in any situation
• Connect our brokerage colleagues and their clients to the right individuals across our 220 corporate offices
• Provide iDesk support to the Southeast/Texas Brokerage business including operations in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, Tampa
• Work with our colleagues in EMEA, APAC and LATAM to leverage relationships in the USA to win business in their local markets
• Utilize ClientFirst to record and report all new business opportunities and associated revenue
• Help coordinate business development visits to the USA by our senior international colleagues including the annual Academy event
• Champion increased awareness of our global capabilities by partnering with our dedicated marketing resources to create new communication initiatives (and subsequent implementation)
• Contribute innovative ideas towards the iDesk’s growth and success
Requirements:
• 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate, with a strong preference for experience in a sales environment, tenant representation, client relationship management, transaction management and/or general experience in occupier services
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in international markets (outside of North America)
• Fluent in both written and oral English with a preference for at least one foreign language
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Commitment to working long and odd hours as necessary to coordinate business across multiple time zones
• High level of self-confidence to develop new relationships with colleagues and clients in a highly competitive business environment
• Self-driven and the maturity to work autonomously is a must
• Global mindset – interest in international markets, sociopolitical events and ability to discuss them with individuals of diverse backgrounds
• Minimum two year commitment to role
