This position is responsible for the daily analysis, research and processing of IRA, RHS and VP transactions and correspondence. It is expected that this associate will continuously analyze current operating procedures and processes for improvement and efficiency. This associate will be working in multiple capacities and functions so a broad-based knowledge of financial services and operations is preferred. This associate must have strong customer service skills and a commitment to quality.
Essential functions for this role include:
• Assure timely and accurate processing of all IRA & RHS requests and transactions. This includes, but is not limited to, enrollments, indicative data changes, fund transfers, contributions, transfers, conversions and distributions. Using analytical skills, apply appropriate rules for acceptance of requests, communicating any issues to investors/employers by phone and/or mail. Generate and review appropriate confirmations and other correspondence. Review daily control reports and reconcile as necessary. Facilitate cash handling through DCS functionality. Contact investors or other financial institutions for clarification of issues or to ensure the correct handling of accounts.
• Assure timely and accurate processing of Vantage Points Rewards and Retirement Health Savings requests and transactions. This includes, but is not limited to, updating VP eligibility and criteria tables, processing reimbursement requests, checking daily RHS reports, and RHS disbursements.
• Research, analyze and resolve account issue including, appropriate documentation and communication to investor within expected time frames. Perform Level 3 and Level 4 review work on IRA, VP & RHS.
• Active involvement in process improvement for IRA, VP and RHS
• Documentation of operating procedures
• Quality improvement
• Review and validate investor statements, annual 5498 reporting, and year-end 1099 tax reporting
• Other duties, projects and assignments as required
Requirements
If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:
• BA /BS Degree or equivalent work-related experience
• 1-3 years experience in accounting, financial services or similar environment; retirement plan record keeping or directly related experience
• Ability to analyze information to determine issue then research, resolve and communicate as appropriate
• Excellent data entry and reconciliation skills
• Ability to work under pressure/meet deadlines
• Knowledge of retirement plan products and regulatory guidelines, preferred
• Polished oral and business writing skills, preferred
• Demonstrated high degree of accuracy, preferred
