The DotCom Product Owner will be responsible for articulating and translating the overall vision into strategy and tactics, and for identifying specific solutions in order to drive necessary business outcomes. The highly collaborative role will need to work closely with stakeholders, end users, and functional and technical team members, in order to rapidly deliver quality solutions to customers.
This role will act as the detailed and platform subject matter expert and lead activities including requirements capture and documentation across the organization, acting as the liaison among internal stakeholders, communicate, educate, and validate business and platform user stories and also act as the digital banking business owner for the IT SCRUM delivery team.
Key Accountabilities:
• Works as a key team member on a cross functional team, responsible for continuous delivery of value to the customer;
• Consults with product stakeholders, as the key point of contact, to assess, prioritize and anticipate current and future product needs;
• Develop a product strategy and roadmap through analysis of personas, use cases, customer benefits, and solution value propositions;
• Responsible for the long term product roadmap as part of a larger business strategy;
• Consistently and iteratively ensures that business strategies are being executed through product roadmaps;
• Ensure stories clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product;
• Maintain and refine product backlog: Create user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy;
• Works with other product teams/owners to align product roadmaps and to focus on delivering the maximum business value to the organization;
• Work in a scrum team, ensuring the teams are aligned around similar goals and objectives and attending all scrum meetings;
• Develop and track key value drivers that measure effectiveness of product discovery and overall product performance;
• Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles;
• Inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization’s direction (Product/Agile/DevOps).
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
• BA/BS degree in marketing, business, IT, or related field or equivalent experience;
Experience:
• 4‐6 years relevant business experience;
• Experience with enterprise web management platform (ie. SiteCore, AEM)
• Strong communicator and communication ability to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organization;
• Proven success developing business cases, roadmaps, product execution strategies;
• Demonstrated experience with user interface design and best practices for usability.
Preferred Qualifications
• Retail banking or financial services industry experience;
• Scrum certification such as CSM, CSPO, or CSP;
• Experience implementing business analysis methodologies.
