JOB INFORMATION
Design, implement, analyze, and promote diversity goals and objectives enterprise wide. Ensure best practices in recruitment, retention, and the promotion of diversity, fostering a culture that not only embraces diversity, but also maintains a culturally sensitive and inclusive work environment. Assist in implementing strategies from the Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan, which includes contribution to the development and oversight of effective diversity and inclusion training for leadership and staff. Additionally, create and implement measurement tools to successfully track enterprise progress in attaining diversity goals. Assess and analyze trends and issues that require careful attention and are critical to a successful diversity program. Engage in innovative thinking—advocating for change and an inclusive culture. Responsible for collaborating with HR and other key stakeholders to identify and establish programs to attract and retain a diverse workforce, including mentoring initiatives.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Proactively identify D&I best practices ,tools and resources that can be leveraged to improve business outcomes.
• Evaluate business needs and goals to provide recommendations on how to create and cultivate and inclusive culture to management.
• Partner with internal partners –Workforce Management, HR, compensation, L&D and other internal partner to understand how inclusion and diversity can drive business outcomes.
• Manage diversity partnerships—tracking partnership value and making recommendations.
• Assist in identifying, applying to and securing D&I awards/recognition opportunities.
• Assist with providing support as needed to the Diversity Advisory Council, Employee Resource Group’s and business areas to develop and execute diversity and inclusion strategies.
• Assist with the design/development, coordination, and delivery of effective employee education offerings/learning solutions (e-learning, workshops, conversations, brown bag lunches, articles, online content, etc.) to internal customers
• Supports the establishment of relationships with relevant associations and organizations to promote efforts related to diversity and inclusion
• Support communication efforts as needed by partnering with internal Communications team to influence creative direction/create content for D&I communications activities/campaign efforts
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the advancement of Fannie Mae’s diversity and inclusion goals
Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• 6+ years of related experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Ability to conduct research, analyze results and make recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data
• Working knowledge of applicable employment laws, as well as guidelines and current trends in D&I practices
• Proven consulting and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to engage and interact with diverse groups and individuals at all levels within the organization
