Overview
DHG Healthcare is the national healthcare practice of Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, which itself is a diversified professional services firm and the 14th largest accounting and advisory firm in the United States. We are currently seeking a Consultant to work with one of our offices in Jacksonville, FL.
The Healthcare Finance Consultant (Market Analyst) will provide market-related and other support on varied client engagements, including strategic planning, market assessment and feasibility studies.
Responsibilities
• Perform demographic analyses and mapping using specialized software
• Research state and local regulatory information regarding senior living facilities and services
• Prepare competition profiles
• Conduct other research, as necessary, including interviews with industry professionals
• Prepare reports, presentations and graphic illustrations of findings
• Translate complex numerical data into non-technical, written text
• Maintain/update market database
Qualifications
• Experience in the healthcare or senior housing industry preferred
• Experience with or interest in market research/analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Have the ability to work both independently as well as in a team-based environment
The ideal candidate will have or be:
• BA or BS degree
• 1 to 3 years of experience, preferably in professional services
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams
• Organized and detail oriented
• Proficient business writing & etiquette skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent client service delivery skills with the ability to manage client needs and deliver on client expectations around project activities, timelines, deliverables, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to organize information and manage multiple assignments
• Ability to maintain detailed work-paper records of assumptions, methodologies and information sources throughout a project timeline
• Creative problem-solving ability and self-starter
• Exception work ethic with adaptability to changing project teams
• Clear, pleasant phone presence and prior work experience in obtaining information over the phone
• Willingness to employ creative techniques in determining “hard-to-find” competitive and market information
Working Conditions and Travel:
• Preferred location in Jacksonville, FL
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
• Limited travel initially; travel requirements may increase with career advancement
