This position is responsible for working with our DCIO and Investment teams to understand their functions and develop technology initiatives to improve their capabilities, improve efficiency, and reduce risk. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies web applications including coding, testing, debugging and deploying to support the organizations web applications. Works closely with manager or business analyst to develop the best solutions. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the web development environment. Relies on experience and judgment to plan, prioritize and complete assigned tasks. Works under the supervision of the project manager. Will work as team lead for small to medium sized projects.
Essential functions for this role include:
• Collaborate with DCIO and Investments to understand processes and define requirements for technology initiatives.
• Track DCIO and Investments programs to provide monthly progress updates to business units and technology.
• Investigate existing and new data sources to verify data processing rules.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions to support business initiatives.
• Conduct analysis on how the business can improve their processes and introduce industry best practices.
• Design solutions and processes to improve capabilities, reduce risk and improve efficiencies within the business,
• Guide development teams in implementing solutions.
• Develop data-based solutions for improving analytical analysis and decision making processes.
• Oversee projects to ensure all teams clearly understand requirements and timing of deliverables.
• Ability to work in a cross functional team environment.
• Assist in production support as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:
• BA/BS or equivalent work-related experience
• 7-10 years of deep experience with investment processes ranging from Front, Middle and Back Office functions
• Experience with key systems that facilitate investment processes such as Risk Analytics, Order Management, Portfolio Accounting, Trade reconciliation, Performance reporting and Client Reporting.
• Knowledge of how Comingled funds and separately managed accounts operate within the Investments industry
• Proven ability to research and develop documents and process flows detailing current state and future state processes.
• Experience working with development teams and third party integrators to deliver projects that meet objectives within time and budget constraints.
• Ability to develop SQL based queries to be included in office and Java based solutions.
• Experienced in developing solutions within the full Office Suite of tools.
• Experienced in developing in Java and Jave scripting environments.
• Experience with Investment portfolio and risk management processes
• Experience with investment products covering asset classes ranging from Equities, Fixed Income and Alternatives
