Job Description
Currently we are seeking a talented Data Solutions Analysis Consultant to be a part of Pacific Life's Enterprise Customer Data Hub Center of Excellence (CDH COE). This team is creating the next generation platform for managing Customer Data as an asset for Pacific Life’s business units, to enable a single company customer obsessed experience for Pacific Life customers.
The team is utilizing cloud based technologies to build the platform and is charting the course of innovation to stand up new data management capabilities for Pacific Life. As part of CDH COE, you will work closely with PL’s Next gen CRM COE and other enterprise initiative teams defining the future for Pacific Life.
POSITION SUMMARY
This business savvy individual will be technically competent with the business and responsible for leading data solutions projects for the Enterprise Customer Data Hub (CDH). They will conduct analysis, partner with the architect and data engineering lead on technical design, develop testing strategy and own the overall delivery of the project.
Primary responsibilities include:
•Conduct analysis on projects & support items; translate the business needs into functional requirements as input for system design & development, testing and user acceptance.
•Develop and communicate functional requirements, work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports for assigned projects. Work with a geographically distributed team of PL and managed services resources in an agile methodology to ensure development and delivery of quality solutions for assigned projects within established time and budget estimates.
•Maintain awareness of industry trends in data space and recommend solutions to enhance business value from the Data assets in CDH.
•Periodically review and enhance CDH delivery standards and practices. Ensure compliance to data security, privacy requirements.
•Acts a guide/mentor to other team members.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS
•Minimum 10 years experience in systems and data analysis role.
•Minimum 5 years experience in data management and data integration industry.
•Minimum 1 year experience with Agile methodology
•Experience with technical and functional design for databases, ETL, data warehousing, and BI reporting.
•Expertise in Relational database and SQL skills
•AWS experience a plus
•Experience working with geographically distributed teams
•Comfortable operating in a dynamic , high pace of change environment
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Proven leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
•Strong partnership, collaboration, and resource management skills
•Bachelors degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
•Financial industry experience preferred
