Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Helps to create a dynamic team environment by fostering collaboration, experimentation, agility, and vigorous inquiry, while maintaining high expectations and attention to detail.
• Leads a portfolio of varied innovation activities including small scale test, minimum viable products, proof of concepts.
• Develops a balanced management framework that encourages and incubates new ideas while helping to progress successful experiments and learnings back into traditional ROI driven project teams.
• Works closely with cross-functional business leaders to support innovation priorities..
• Work closely with a dedicated technology team to ensure success of innovation activities.
• Maintains, refines and refreshes business innovation priorities by seeking feedback from the senior leadership team as well as varied stakeholder throughout the business.
• Ensure alignment of innovation activities to innovation priorities.

Job Summary
You will bring excitement, energy, enthusiasm and entrepreneurship to help build and grow the culture of innovation at Travelers. You will work across functions to lead a portfolio of business experiments, market tests and partnerships. In your role you will launch new products and partnerships, participate in a the startup community to identify new opportunities to bring value to Travelers customers.
You will be joining a new, fast paced and growing team and will help to create the skills, practices and offerings needed to advance the Innovation Agenda. In your role, you will have high visibility, frequent interactions with senior leaders and a high degree of influence within the Personal Insurance business. Travelers Personal Insurance unit is an almost 10 billion dollar business performing at a high level and transforming our business through new products like Traverse (https://www.traverseinsurance.com/) and partnership with Amazon (https://amazon.com/travelers).
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of project management experience required.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
• Experience launching a business or startup a huge plus.
• 3-5 years of experience managing project or digital product teams preferred.
• Experienced working in an Innovation or Human Centered Design team a plus but not required.
• Business development experience a plus but not required.
• Experience working in a startup is BIG plus but not required.
• Venture Capital experience a plus but not required.
