Description
The ideal candidate is an energetic, confident, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards. The Events Planner has the ability to work quickly and efficiently on several events related projects at one time, is results orientated, and has strong time management skills in a constantly changing environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Responsible for implementation, coordination and completion of event and experience related marketing pieces-including, but not limited to; event collateral, direct marketing pieces, quarterly newsletters, email blasts, flyers, buck slips, posters and invitations.
• Work with events team, creative team, copywriters, data team, local bank staff and bank customers.
• Develop and manage relationships with outside vendors and possess ability to review, assess and negotiate contracts.
• Assist in the implementation and coordination of logistics for events and experiences.
• Provide support including routine correspondence, data reports, customer phone calls and communicate messages in a timely manner for events and experiences.
• Responsible for registration, seating, name tag preparation, etc. for events.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Event Management or a related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in related field
• Prior history in hospitality or event planning a plus
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of responsibility, initiatives and professionalism
• Strong organization skills with attention to details a must
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Willingness and ability to travel to various sites within the Chicagoland area
• Ability to work some non-traditional business hours, including before work, evenings and weekends as needed.
