Profile Summary:
The Director of Third Party Risk Management is responsible for Voya’ s Third Party Risk Governance and Assessment program, including strategy and framework, fit-to-purpose process and systems for effectively assessing and managing third party risk exposures. This role will assist the organization in the identification, classification, measurement and monitoring of third party risks. Work closely with strategic sourcing, operational risk management, legal, compliance, business and other functional partners.
Profile Description:
• Reporting to the Vice President of Technology, Innovation, and Operations Risk Management, the candidate will lead the design and deployment of a firm-wide third-party risk management framework.
• Manage the ongoing third-party risk program which includes an integrated approach for assessing and mitigating the risk of new and existing third-party suppliers.
• Manage and enhance the governance model to provide ongoing monitoring and oversight of the risks posed by third-parties.
• Monitor and update third-party risk assessment framework to respond and adhere to new and existing regulatory guidelines and initiatives.
• Lead third-party risk segmentation, deploy and maintain up-to-date annual attestations by relationship-owners.
• Ensure highest priority risk topics have the strongest controls, diligence and comprehensive risk reporting.
• Develop reports for use by business areas and senior management regarding third-party risks.
• Identify and escalate key items of concern regarding new and existing current third –parties, including the potential of concentration risk and fourth-party risk exposures.
• Develop a community of practice (CoP) that is cross functional for third and fourth party risk.
• Partner with Voya’ s sourcing team, ERM/ORM, business areas and other assurance functions in the second and third line of defense to identify third-party risks and escalate those risks appropriately
• Actively engage and participate in working groups among stakeholders including Technology, Vendor Management, Procurement, Compliance and Legal to find ways to mitigate identified risks
• Coordinate and help deliver third-party risk education and training programs for the business units
Knowledge & Experience:
• 10 plus years minimum of related experience within Insurance, Banking or Asset Management preferred
• Minimum of a bachelors' degree
• Excellent executive level communication skills
• Broad and deep third-party risk technical knowledge
• Strong people management, internal consulting, and partnering skills
• Ability to influence with or without authority to achieve desired outcomes
• Balance and successfully manage competing priorities
• Strong industry participant with knowledge of best practicesLI-JS1
