The Director of Channel Product Solutionswill lead the development and execution of the product roadmap for Netspend’s most strategic partnerships across numerous retail and financial services distribution partners. This is a high-visibility role with the opportunity to interact with executive level internal and external business leaders. This person will liaison with external partner employees, Business Development leaders, Data Analysts, product and software developers and executives across the Partner and Retail Channels.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has demonstrated success at analyzing business needs and designing / building product solutions that leverage traditional and emerging payments technologies. This role will also be focused on the development of loyalty and customer rewards propositions, as well as other new customer-facing features.
The job requires employing analytics & business intelligence to determine market needs, experience authoring product requirements (preferably in an Agile environment), then working closely with product, operations, business and engineering teams to translate those requirements into successfully launched products. This role is supported by project management, marketing analytics and finance team members to aid in delivery.
Prior work experience in the Finch space, or with a prepaid / stored value processor, credit card company, customer loyalty company, payments or network provider, or Money Services Business (MSB) preferred.
Responsibilities
• Develop deep understanding of the needs of our partners, their customers, and the general consumer market and deliver large-scale innovations that increase sales or extend tenure.
• Analyze customer and market behavior to provide competitive analysis for market requirements documents and launch plans
• Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering
• Lead cross-functional design, development, marketing, and business development teams to drive growth in product usage and adoption
• Create financial models to evaluate opportunities and determine ROI
• Analyze potential vendor and third party relationships and, where necessary, manage existing relationships.
• Collaborate with the applications development team to define clear product requirements in an Agile environment
Skills/Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or business; MBA preferred
• 3-5 years payments industry experience
• 3-5 years in product management, business analyst or similar role
• Demonstrated success leading strategy from concept to launch
• Ability to see the big-picture/vision, with the drive to make that vision a reality
• Experience presenting to and influencing all levels of the organization including C-level executives
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills, and experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Must enjoy spending time in the market (with customers and clients) to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market
• Experience authoring clear and actionable requirements in a high-urgency, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to statistically analyze large volumes of product performance data to deliver actionable, business-relevant insights
• Ability to travel
