Key Responsibilities:
The Director will support important initiatives of the Ratings Operations team. The individual will be responsible for developing robust, professional, and consistent system and process documentation for Fitch Ratings. The materials will support analytical, business development and operational staff and may be shared with regulators. When necessary, this individual will also work with Fitch’s Learning and Development team to ensure that Fitch Ratings staff has appropriate training and documentation resources to support our operational functions.
Other Accountabilities:
• Author detailed, end-to-end procedure documents based on discussions with process owners with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance with Fitch Policy.
• Serve as a documentation specialist and business analyst to evaluate, document and communicate workflows, controls and operating procedures.
• Create online help, user guides, quick reference cards, job aids and other educational materials
• Interview internal subject matter experts to understand and gather information on functions and processes.
• Document business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the current procedures, applications, management reporting and training based on stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborate with other departments as required (e.g., Global Compliance, Internal Audit, Credit Policy, Human Resources, Operational Risk, and IT).
• Lead special projects, as needed, on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer or other leaders within Ratings Operations.
Position Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required
• Consulting background preferred.
• Extensive experience documenting processes, workflows, technical specifications, functional requirement documents and software guides
• Ability to communicate technical concepts into clear, concise, and easy to understand language
• Self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team environment.
• 10+ years of experience at a global financial services organization. Experience at a Credit Rating Agency preferred.
• Quick learner with excellent attention to detail.
• Highly motivated, flexible, proactive, and adaptable to change.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to analyze, propose and execute practical operational solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
