Responsibilities include coordinating the review and timely receipt of surplus lines related documentation for all brokerage business. This position will provide support to underwriters and external producers to ensure documentation received is in compliance with individual state regulatory requirements.
Job Description:
•Works with business/functional unit to identify the changes required for the unit to achieve strategic goals and capitalize on opportunities for improvements. These changes may focus on strategy, structure and/or processes.
•Performs research and analysis and generates reports/presentations to help managers make strategic and effective business decisions.
•Synthesizes metrics and numbers into practical insights for the business that enable them to better compete in their markets.
•Acts as a liaison between stakeholders, facilitating transfer of information and problem resolution. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed.
•Acts as the data subject matter expert for a specific area of focus to deliver consistent information and insights.
•Develops and maintains analytical reports and dashboards and responds to ad hoc report requests.
•Coordinate pre- and post-bind receipt of all surplus lines documentation required to process policies and subsequent transactions.
•Quality check all documentation received to ensure that it meets corporate and state requirements.
•Proactively communicate issues to underwriting.
•Communicate with producers to provide surplus lines education and support.
•Process and upload required documentation for surplus lines filings using agency filing system (SLFS).
•Verify licensing and coding of broker responsible business.
•Coordinate changes and corrections as directed by Compliance.
•Providing underwriting documentation as requested by Compliance to respond to state inquiries and audits.
•Conduct quality control of issued transactions.
•Maintain and ensure accuracy of iSuite and eFolder UW files
•Participate in special projects as assigned
•Must obtain licenses within 6 (six) months of hire; must obtain other licenses as required to support business needs.
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university preferred or comparable work experience.
• P&C, A&H preferred or able to obtain within 6 (six) months of hire
•Experience in UW regulatory submissions / Surplus Lines regulatory knowledge
•Strong attention to detail is critical to success in this position
•Superior analytical and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated organizational skills
•Ability to work professionally and effectively with internal and external customers
•Excellent verbal and written communications
•Strong prioritization skills, flexibility and ability to multi-task on a daily basis.
•Ability to operate independently and collaboratively
•Ability to work in a fluid environment, that is fast paced and rapidly changing/evolving
•A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
