We are seeking an Accounting Software Support/Training Specialistto join our Civic Systems practice in Madison, WI! In this role, you will utilize your well-polished interpersonal skills and technical abilities as you help clients navigate through our accounting software designed specifically for use by municipalities and municipal utilities.

Responsibilities
Technical Support
• Provide on-going technical support and solutions to client software problems.
• Resolve software questions/issues by clarifying the client’s question, determining the issue to be resolved, selecting and explaining solutions, expedite correction or adjustment and follow-up to ensure resolution.
• Coordinate client activities to provide quality services.
• Maintain active communication to control expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
• Assist in client advice by providing research.
• Maintain close and active relationships with client.
• Address client issues.
• Respect the confidential and independent nature of the client relationships.
Training Support
• Present training programs using identified learning objectives and selected instructional methodologies for specified software modules.
• Provide project coordination and management, software setup, installation and project follow-up.
• Apply systems technology to meet business needs and objectives.
• Configure systems to integrate with client’s existing environment.
• Research and analyze information pertaining to current projects.
• Document all aspects of the project, including client’s workflow and processes, change management and lessons learned.
• Ensure client objectives are met on-time and within budget.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, required.
• Experience working with accounting software in a municipal or utility accounting role, preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to learn both software and accounting principles and procedures, and the ability to actively apply learned knowledge when working with clients and colleagues.
• Flexibility to adapt to different learning styles and environments, and to communicate effectively in those different situations.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, required.
• Previous software troubleshooting, training and/or client service experience, preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical, organization, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to establish, develop and maintain strong, long-term and positive working relationships with team members and clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of work.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.
