Overview
The Product Marketing Manager will partner with key business partners to build product value, positioning and messaging strategy. Ideal candidate will manage product launches, gather customer insights, and maximize our products' potential to drive awareness, adoption and usage. This candidate will also develop, drive and flawlessly execute revenue generating multi-channel and integrated product campaigns, including direct marketing, mass media, marketing collateral, in branch merchandising, digital advertising and social media efforts. Candidate should have the analytical capacity, be both a creative thinker and execution master who will collaborate cross-functionally and thrive in a fast moving, evolving environment. Partner and coordinate activities with agency (as appropriate) creative designer, digital manager and social media manager to achieve desired deliverables and execute developed plan.
Responsibilities
• Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
• Plan the launch of new products or enhancements and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
• Responsible for engaging with business partner leaders and their teams to ensure a deep understanding of and alignment with their strategies, goals and initiatives.
• Work closely with internal and external partners to lead the development and implementation of an integrated, multi-channel marketing plan -- including the measurement and optimization of campaigns with the plan -- for one or more complex business segments
• Develop insights from marketing research, data analytics and marketing analytics and incorporate into marketing strategy and tactics.
• Participate in idea exploration with team members to facilitate development of innovation.
• Contribute to an atmosphere of openness and contribution with the team members.
• Coordinate with necessary Marketing resources to achieve successful launch and rollout
• Work with Training and Regional Managers to develop supportive/informational material
Qualifications
• College degree in marketing/communications or experience in related field
• 7-10 years of relevant marketing experience (preferably in financial services product marketing)
• Experience developing and executing full integrated, multi touch marketing campaigns
• Strong knowledge of all primary marketing channels, including advertising, direct mail, email, digital, and social
• Experience with project management software and extremely familiar with tools of Microsoft office for budget management, presentation development and project reporting.
• Results-oriented with experience with developing marketing effectiveness/analysis to prove return on marketing investment.
• Strategy driven, action oriented, results focused
• Experience managing marketing plans and budgets
• Effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Ability to operate in the gray with shifting and conflicting priorities
• Proactive problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas
• Creative self-starter with can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach
• Excellent organization skills and expected to handle large volume of projects.
• Personable, positive can do attitude ready to help shape the marketing culture
• Flexible with demands and changes in extremely fast-moving business environment
• Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively in a highly cross-functional organization
• Direct the successful implementation of marketing programs, coordinate with all departments and serve as a Marketing liaison
• Must be detail oriented, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensuring accuracy of all materials
• Ability to work well under pressure and deliver according to pre-determined schedule.
• Ability to consistently prioritize workflow with heavy emphasis based on business impact.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• This position is based out of the Pleasanton Headquarters office. 0-5% travel required.
