The Role:
The Business Intelligence/Data Systems Analyst is responsible for the support and maintenance of the existing Data Supply Chain error reporting in SAP Business Objects as well as the roll-out support and maintenance of the new Global Data Event Logging and Reporting Platform (DELRP) [Elastic Stack – ElasticSearch, LogStash and Kibana] application in the Global Data Supply Chain within D&B, as well as the Internal DSC Financial Reporting Tool.
This role will also act as the primary data supply chain re-engineering analyst by working with technical RTB teams, Engineers and Enterprise Architects and cross-functional contributors to ensure that the re-engineering efforts are understood and documented.
Essential responsibilities for this position include the following: maintenance, enhancements and implementation of various dashboards and reporting metrics required to increase the visibility, accuracy and consistency of our global data within our Data Supply Chan. Design and implement a repeatable and sustainable process for coordinating and orchestrating with in-scope systems their integration into the DELRP system. Overall governance and reporting of the metrics within the supply chain and rolling out the system to Business Partners.
Support Technology Management implement and roll-out an internal operational financial tool for centralized collection, aggregation and reporting on cost center spend within various initiatives of the Global Supply Chain consolidation. Support Finance teams with their reporting needs utilizing BI tools (SAP Business Objects) and Access and/or Talend.
The individual must perform functions such as: identifying and resolving issues and data reconciliation. Work on implementation of enhancements of the processes within the 3 systems. As well as work with technical RTB teams, Engineers and Enterprise Architects and cross-functional contributors to ensure the functional requirements of our re-engineering efforts and properly documented and tracked in Confluence and JIRA.
Responsibilities:
• Support the day to day activities related to the processes of the Global and DSC Financial Reporting Tool.
• Work with Technology Management to craft a Roll-out/Integration Plan for the Global DELRP Platform.
• Identify and resolve data, technical issues and remediation with efficiency, effectiveness and with consistently high quality.
• Create, Modify and maintain dashboards and reports as new systems come online.
• Validate system integration input into Elastic Indexes and the event data loads into the DELRP system.
• Interface with the upstream teams and the downstream teams.
• Communication with the Finance and Accounting teams.
• Gather functional system requirements for re-engineering efforts, enhancements, impact analysis of the requirements, create and maintain mapping and technical design documents, assist in development and QA testing, as requested.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or an equivalent degree in the Sciences.
• 3-5 years of data warehouse development / support experience setting up and implementing KPI and Metric dashboards and reports using ELK, SAP Business Objects, Access, Talend and other reporting tools.
• Experience with Financial data from GL and ERP Systems
• Working Knowledge of SQL
• Experienced with formal project methodology frameworks (SDLC)
• Agile Tools and Methodologies – Like Kanban & JIRA
• Experienced with build management, release management and version control
• Ability to work well in a team/collaborative environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving ability. Self-motivated
• Ability to maintain technical proficiency. Ability to multi-task
• Experienced with working in projects where periodic status reporting to technology management along with review assessments post-implementation is done
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience with D&Bs Data Supply Chain, Worldbase and GDR/DDR Error reporting, Data Architecture and/or GDPR Data Lineage Mapping.
• Experience and working knowledge in the development and support of SAP Business Objects, Talend, ElasticSearch/Kibana [ELK Stack].
• Experience and working knowledge in the development and support of reports using SAP Business Objects.
• Familiarity with AWS services like AWS Redshift, Kinesis Firehose, Fluent D.
