Job Family Summary
The Underwriting Supplier Management Team is responsible for collaborating with internal and external business partners to ensure the most efficient and effective processes and tools are operating as designed while working towards continual improvement. The team is also responsible for the strategy, analytics, ad-hoc requests, implementation, analyzing and communicating metrics, supplier relationships, contract and project management related to these processes and tools.
Job Summary
As Supplier Management Senior Business Analyst you will support functional and technical strategies, analyze internal and external data while evaluating processes to identify new efforts for innovation and improvement. You will serve as support to their assigned tool(s), process(es) and/or supplier(s) for teams across Product Operations, as well as the Allstate enterprise, providing resources for actionable results.
Key Responsibilities
• Supports ownership of internal and external business partner relationships
• Uses understanding of current industry standards / environment to impact decisions and indicate requirements
• Supports the development of business recommendations to achieve goals and communicates to underwriting team
• Develop and present communication strategies: new plans, programs, processes, products and product performance
• Knowledge of data sources, and has the ability to review data from existing and new sources, both internal and external to Allstate
• Supports the team by providing analytics and reporting, which includes generating and formatting reports that to analyze and monitor supplier performance with minimal direction
• Actively communicates anomalies and recommended actions to appropriate partners
• Provides recommendations for potential next steps/actions for the team
• Solicits inputs and collaborate with internal and external partners
• Researches, analyzes and interprets data to find opportunities to impact growth and profitability
• Ensures project controls are in place throughout the lifecycle of the project, and follows up as necessary
• Determine where additional resources / expertise may be necessary to successfully complete projects and assignments
• Forecasts short-term and long-term deliverables
• Supports the development / design of new supplier and underwriting plans, programs, processes, products up to moderate complexity
• Actively builds positive relationships among teams and team members to ensure cooperation on objectives
• Consults on complex issues within their disciplines from an internal perspective
Job Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience: 3-5 years of industry experience with a background in project management or analytics preferred
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates and champions a sense of urgency, strong dedication, and accountability for achieving results
• Effectively network and communicate with different types and levels of staff, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of underwriting, product management and general insurance principles preferred
• Knowledge of Allstate quoting systems and processes preferred
