U.S. Bank is seeking a detailed oriented application developer who will be responsible for the following:
• Assist business units in analyzing, designing and developing solutions for business processes of medium to high complexity.
• Serve as a computer technology expert for assigned applications to assist business units with application development and ongoing support.
• Has an understanding of project management, testing methodology and procedures.
• Develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues and report on test results.
• Utilize computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and presentation software packages.
• Perform computer programming and database querying/reporting.
• Manage projects, perform forecasting, planning, and organize project.
• Interact with different departments and utilize verbal and written communication skills when doing so.
• Work as part of a project team and independently with minimal guidance.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• 10 or more years of experience in operations/technology project management activities
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Extensive understanding in any of the following programming languages C#, Java, C++, Visual Basic, MVC, HTML, Razor
• Extensive understanding in any of the following databases Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo DB, Hadoop
• Working understanding of developing unit tests
• Working understanding of source code control tools
• Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues and report on test results
• Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas and communicating with business line leaders
• Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology and testing methodology/procedures
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Ability to work as part of a project team
• Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
