Elavon’s Global Acquiring Solutions organization is part of U.S. Bank’s Payment Services division. U.S. Bancorp is the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States.
We are searching for a Process and Planning Leader for our Distributed Development team that will lead the crafting and execution of processes and procedures for the technology development organization to enhance and optimize the operations of the organization. This key leadership role at Elavon will provide procedures design expertise and lead the implementation efforts to adopt methodologies of Agile, SAFe, and DevOps, including procedures to deliver security and compliance requirements as a competitive differentiator. The role will be responsible for analyzing the current SDLC environment, designing standard practices and managing the adoption across a global delivery organization. As the current organization has experienced large growth over the last 3 years and are key teams to a large transformational program, we are in need to adopt new practices to manage our current work and to increase our capabilities. The candidate will impact a large global organization.
This role reports to the SVP, Distributed Systems Development and will partner with Global Operations, Customer Experience, Sales, Product Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Software Quality Assurance, and other development teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Planning, coordination and execution of all activities related to the design and adoption processes and planning for development team.
• Identify and advise management on industry best practices for software development operations.
• Identify and track software development success metrics that will guide teams into adoption of new process.
• The position may require up to 25% travel.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 5 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.
-Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Skills/Experience
-BS or MS Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
-The candidate must have excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach.
-5+ years of experience software development and product management practices.
-Knowledge of best practices to guide the development team on the design, architecture, development, and deployment of mission-critical software systems.
-10+ years of progressive growth experience leading teams outside of reporting structure.
-10+ years of program management experience.
-3+ years agile methodology
-Experience working with and upgrading legacy products and platforms to new state of the art solutions
-Ability to solve problems, iteratively and incrementally improve both products and processes.
-Developing and communicating the overall team strategy and roadmap, partnering with technical delivery teams and collaborating with business and technology teams to ensure development and delivery takes into account all impacted areas.
-Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrix organization and with internal and external partners.
