Overview of the Role
The Communications Project Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing internal communication initiatives in support of the Janus Henderson Investment Leadership Team. In this role you will manage various forms of communication across a variety of subject matters, while working independently and collaboratively to implement strategic communications initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a highly effective communications infrastructure, identifying opportunities for automation where appropriate. Create and aggregate of investment related materials prepared for various Boards including US mutual fund trustee board, JHG corporate board and UCITS fund trustee board.
• Partner with investment senior leadership to create quarterly departmental presentations for all investment staff or a targeted subset.
• Facilitate the review and distribution of Investment Policy Statements (IPS) throughout the organization.
• Support the development and delivery of internal announcements from investments senior leadership.
• Create high quality materials for investment leadership presentations to external parties.
• Draft communications to Trustees and strategic stakeholders on behalf of Global CIO, as needed.
• Prepare responses to 15c questions as part of the annual US mutual fund trustee board process.
• Ongoing management of the executive investment management RFP content.
• Serve as primary point of contact for investment related communication needs.
• Other work and projects as assigned.

Technical Skills and Qualifications
• B.S. or B.A.; major in finance, business, economics or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of job related experience
• Ability to work cooperatively in a fast paced, team environment.
• Ability to set goals, work independently and meet deadlines.
• Solid understanding of data related to portfolio attribution, contribution and risk measures.
• Experience with presentation development and delivery.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with writing and editing various type of communication.
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
• Annual Performance Appraisal.
• Completion of all assigned Compliance training.
Working Environment/Physical Activities
• Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, holiday hours.
• Typical office environment with telephone, desktop computer, copier.
• Substantive travel expected.
