As the Operations Director, the manager is responsible for creating operational processing strategy that results in strategic operations process enhancement and performance improvement, vendor oversight for core clearing and processing vendor, operational business reporting, lead in organizing operational KRIs and KRI risk reporting. Must be familiar with FINRA and SEC rules and regulations, and run a compliant business. Must collaborate with internal audit and receive satisfactory scores.

Manage staff accountable for Client onboarding, asset servicing, funding, and trading. Build and manage operational reporting metrics. Consistent interaction and presentations with SSLLC Executive Committee, Pershing, and Field management. Lead training and development for brokerage business. Develop operational efficiencies. Develop staff. Support and supervise offshore PR and Miami business.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or other related field of studies.
EXPERIENCE
• Four (4) years in a Finance Operations (FinOp) or General Securities Principal position (FINRA series 27 or 24), Operational processing, excel reporting, NETX
• At least 7 years’ Financial Services and Banking; Related experiences in banking/financial sector that provides overview of the business.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
• Must have Series 7, and Series 24 or 27
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers and customers.
• Advanced Microsoft (Outlook, Work, Excel & Powerpoint).
• Analytical and reporting skills, assertive and efficient decision-making and a creative problem solver.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration and teamwork in a variety of settings.
• Demonstrated effectiveness at using influence and negotiation to find agreeable exchange and reach positive outcomes.
• Excellent leadership skills; ability to provide constructive criticism, feedback and solutions.
• Excellent understanding and experience in brokerage operations, systems, data capturing, and reporting mechanisms.
• Pershing’s platform and operational environment knowledge would be preferable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication interpersonal skill; ability to anticipate reactions and positions of others; understands perspectives and agendas of others.
• Experience in team management and collaborative skills for working in cross-functional tasks and projects.
• Experienced PC use with skill in the use of Windows, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and the various operational applications.
• Languages: English native, a second language (Spanish) would preferable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Duties are performed in an office environment. Physical demands could involve any or all of the following: digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in the operation of office equipment.
• Light to moderate lifting (10-20 lbs.) and carrying of supplies, files, etc; the ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees both telephone calling and in person.
• Body motor skills sufficient to enable the incumbent to move from one office location to another.
