What You'll Do/Need
The Program Director of Business Development grows the company’s correspondent lending business by developing an overarching market strategy, staying abreast of the competitive landscape, designing infrastructure, and maintaining relationships and agreements with warehouse line providers or other qualified financial institutions. This position also involves process improvement, building and rolling out new product features or lines of business while working in tandem with our Sales, Operations, Technology, Product and Capital Markets teams, as well as vendors and partners.
Responsibilities
• Grow QLMS market share in the non-delegated correspondent lending space
• Provide correspondent partners and Account Executives with training, updates and information regarding the company’s loan programs, loan guidelines, loan processing, closing systems, technologies and practices
• Negotiate agreement terms with approved correspondent partners and warehouse lenders in accordance with company guidelines and instructions
• Connect regularly with correspondent partners to obtain additional referrals and commitments for, and submission of, correspondent loan applications
• Build close relationships with top partners, the Operations team and top Account Executives to collect feedback that will improve processes
• Prepare and submit reports in conjunction with activities, including presentation materials, itineraries, company training, etc.
• Act as the first responder and troubleshooter to assist the correspondent channel team at Quicken Loans Mortgage Services (QLMS) with loan-level and systemic problems, and identify and address performance issues with assigned loans
• Complete contact reports, customer relationship management data and any other reports or data collection
• Share scorecards that summarize performance trends and identify strengths and opportunities to improve results
• Facilitate approval with warehouse banks and ensure approval lists are updated
• Ensure vendor lists are maintained, including AMCs
• Work with Compliance, Credit Risk and Capital Markets teams closely on product and process needs
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of wholesale/correspondent lending experience
• Capital markets and/or pricing experience
• Experience developing and servicing established accounts
• Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Strong interpersonal skills with extreme passion for client service
• Organized, disciplined and accountable for results
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

• Undergraduate degree in sales or marketing, or equivalent experience in the correspondent banking/residential mortgage industry
• 2 years of correspondent lending and capital markets experience
