The main purpose of this role is to manage and deliver implementation projects ensuring that customer solutions are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This includes working directly with clients, establishing project plans, delivering them on schedule, and acting as general point of contact for all project related issues. This position will have a deep understanding of computer systems, networks, and backend processes that support application development and deploys.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Your deliverables as Project Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Application configuration, UAT, production deploy
• Manage all day to day aspects of FM projects and administration
• Assist FM Support as a product SME
• Plan, execute and monitor the projects in terms of deadline, budget, quality, risks
• Support and lead the planning and implementation of project in terms of deadline, budget, quality, risks
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• Define project tasks and resource requirements
• Development and management of project plans
• Monitor and report on all progress of the project to all internal/external stakeholders
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring that they will complete on time and within budget and that the solution aligns with/meets the business objective.
• Facilitates project meetings ensuring each has an agenda, supporting documentation is provided and action items and responsibilities are documented in the meeting minutes.
• Responding to customer requests, whether they are reported issues, questions or assistance requests.
• Performing technical investigation of the reported project issues, providing adequate solution where feasible and/or detailed analysis to the Engineering and Development teams.
• Raising/escalating issues with the Team Leader when needed
• Assisting Account Managers and Sales teams where additional expertise is required
• Other duties as assigned.
Additionally, this position has an emphasis on technical knowledge. You will be responsible for:
• Assisting support and other project managers as part of a team committed to high-quality deliveries and client-satisfaction
• Working with Network teams to identify and document standard business processes for implementation of various recurring network-level tasks
• Working with the Product teams to identify and document issues, both support and project
• Working with Support teams to assist on Level-2 support issues
• Becoming the Subject Matter Expert for backend processes which occur between Unix and Windows machines, as well as various technical systems
Required Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in the management of complex IT projects
• 3+ years’ experience in an IT Operations IT Support; or in a position directly related to the fulfillment of IT Projects, preferably in the FinTech industry
• Application deployment experience (Implementation Engineer)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills in English;
• Ability to interface directly with clients and manage projects individually;
• Strong organisational and planning abilities;
• Ability to travel
• Able to run multiple projects in parallel
• Proven experience in change management and risk management
• Organizational skills and analytical skills
• Ability to develop and deliver project presentations
• Effective problem solving, conflict management and negotiation skills and managing client expectations
• Ability to see and operate a computer.
• Moderate knowledge of Java, C#, SQL, XML, Solaris, Database Management
• Moderate understanding of networks, NATs, Ports, Telnet
• Advanced expertise with Linux and Windows Operating systems, including command prompts and scripts
• Basic financial knowledge a plus
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree - Technology or equivalent experience.
Education:
• Work is performed in a general office environment.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.
