JOB SUMMARY
The Learning and Development Technology Supervisor will administer our talent management and learning systems to enable interactive and meaningful learning to support our employees and meet business objectives. In addition, this person will help to research and evaluate new learning technologies and vendors to support e-learning, microlearning, and instructional design tools.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 3 or more years of experience as an LMS/TMS administrator required.
• Knowledge of best practices in learning technologies.
• Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization and with external vendors.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, solid time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with learning technology authoring tools (i.e., Articulate Storyline 360, Camtasia, Go Animate/Vyond, Audacity, etc.).
• LMS experience with Canvas/Bridge is helpful.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages talent management system and other learning technologies (currently Bridge) to ensure effective administration, including testing and posting new content, developing assessments, troubleshooting administrative and user technical issues, documenting all changes, and developing reports for a variety of internal stakeholders.
• Works with Learning Technology Governance Committee to determine best practices for naming conventions, file structure, assessments, content review, and overall governance. Develops and documents agreed-upon practices and policies as needed to establish consistent use of system.
• Makes recommendations to leaders on procedural improvements to better support learning and development initiatives and user experience.
• Maintains knowledge of LMS best practices and vendor-specific software to ensure best level of talent management service to support business needs. Keeps abreast of vendor communication and upcoming system changes. Performs testing for any enhancements or new functionality.
• Develops reports that are concise, intuitive, and actionable. Prepares reports and statistics for organizational users.
• Partners with leadership to develop or source e-learning and microlearning solutions to support business objectives and create solutions that satisfy the needs of a diverse set of learners (e.g. instructor-led, webinars, videos, online courses, quick reference guides, job aids, etc.)
• Implement tools to track the results of learning experiences (i.e. assessments, evaluation strategies, etc.). Makes recommendations based on these measurements to improve quality of training programs.
• Strong focus on partnering with compliance department to ensure that regulatory training is completed on time.
• Strong partnership with IT to ensure that the HRIS and IT to ensure proper integration with IT and HRIS.
