A DAY IN THE LIFE
In this role, you will…
• Drive organizational improvements by assessing, conceptualizing, and executing innovative training programs that provide true value to ServiceLink.
• Apply Adult Learning Theory and industry-accepted instructional design methodologies to create multi-function comprehensive learning solutions.
• Evaluate new instructional strategies, technologies and tools, to identify opportunities to improve training programs.
• Act as a relationship-building collaborator partnering with multiple stakeholders and SMEs to positively influence outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members on instructional design techniques and strategies.
• Be an advocate for continual learning.
DETAILED JOB DUTIES
• Create organizational improvements by assessing, conceptualizing, and executing innovative training programs that provide true value to ServiceLink.
• Apply Adult Learning Theory and industry-accepted instructional design methodologies to create multi-function comprehensive learning solutions.
• Author technical documentation for technical system applications.
• Evaluate new instructional strategies, technologies and tools, to identify opportunities to improve training programs.
• Act as a relationship-building collaborator partnering with multiple stakeholders and SMEs to positively influence outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members on instructional design techniques and strategies.
• Author effective assessment questions, quality distracters and practice interactions that match the objectives and content of the training and that accurately test the learners' ability to meet the objectives.
• Write content into the authoring tool, using established design templates to create the instructional document.
• Create media to support learning (e.g. visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia for e-learning and online)
• Produces high quality learning deliverables, on time under aggressive deadlines.

Qualifications

You possess …
• A passion for driving initiatives that change corporate culture, enhance performance and contribute to customer satisfaction.
• Advanced experience using Articulate Storyline.
• A proven understanding of the ADDIE model.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Instructional Technology, Adult Training, Communication or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on training required.
• Experience in instructional design within the learning industry, particularly in creating web-based training, participating in all phases of the project life cycle and demonstrating creative solutions for deliverables.
• Expertise in scenario based, web-based training (WBT) and interactive instructor-led training (ILT)
• Proven superior technical writing skills, including the ability to write concise, creative and effective instruction, especially for WBL training.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to convert information and needs into practical training deliverables.
• Excellent computer skills including competent operation of authoring software, such as Articulate Storyline.
• Basic HTML knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
• Desire and motivation to learn new technology, especially to learn it independently.
• Possess a thorough understanding of current training and delivery methods and techniques, with an emphasis on training media and application, training methodologies, and adult education methodologies and techniques
• Advanced MS Office skills and proficiency is required
• Ability to work independently or on a team, and some project management experience
