Job Description:
Job Summary
This role supports the Disability Claims Department
Accountabilities
• Supports administrative roles including but not limited to:
◦ Escheatment
◦ Life Waiver claim setup
◦ FICA Adjustments
◦ Applying overpayments
◦ Print requests
◦ Paying medical bills and setting up purchase orders
◦ Check pulls
◦ Processing and paying wellness benefit
• Supports disability tax team roles including but not limited to:
◦ Answering general inquires
◦ Testing data files
◦ Drafting and sending letters to clients and claimants
◦ Performing overpayment calculations
◦ Correcting W-2s and issuing W-2Cs
◦ Providing override spreadsheets to our Central Tax Department
◦ W-2 Election changes
• Responds to all e-mail and phone inquiries within 24 hours
• Handles various administrative functions including but not limited to: special mailings, filing, collating, faxing, printing files, etc.
• Identifies trends and areas for improvement and presents to management for implementation
• Assists with transforming current Disability Claims model to an improved model
• Conducts training sessions for new and existing employees
• Works closely with Quality Assurance team to identify error trends, reporting, and implementing remedies when error trends exist
• Establishes excellent relationship with the Disability Claims organization
• Maintains high levels of customer service with internal and external customers
• As the position develops and changes with the needs of the business, you will be expected to adapt to the changes accordingly.
Qualifications
• BS/BA degree preferred with a minimum of 1+ year experience
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft application (MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word)
• Ability to work and solve problems independently
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Good communication (oral and written) skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to negotiate and influence others without authority
