Job Summary:
The candidate will work closely with the Corporate Finance team to support production and project activities related to Basel Risk Weighted Asset calculations, Capital Planning and Forecasting workflow and Regulatory Reporting. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Capital Planning process of large banks, Risk Weighted Asset calculations, Capital Stress Testing, as well as impact to regulatory filings (FR Y14-A/Q/M, FR Y9-C, FFIEC 101, 102, etc…).
The candidate should be able to successfully engage a team of resources supporting the business in both a project and production support environment. The candidate should have the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a self-directed environment while showing initiative in proactively improving organizational processes. The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong verbal and analytical skills in order to lead efforts in supporting this function from a technology perspective.
Major Responsibilities:
• Build strong relationships within the organization and be able make recommendations aligning the system / application strategy with long-term Finance Systems architecture.
• Create functional requirements, identify data sources, gathers and analyze data sets and validate metrics/drivers.
• Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency plans and proper escalation.
• Participate in and help lead change management activities associated with the automation of Corporate Finance processes.
• Partner with management, project champions, and process owners to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives.
Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of Capital Planning Processes, Regulatory Reporting at Banking Organizations, and Financial Systems and/or relevant Treasury and Finance activities at large financial institutions.
• 8-12+ years relevant consulting and/or industry and functional experience.
• Strong understanding of Risk Weighted Asset calculations, Capital Stress Testing and Capital Forecast reporting related to the Capital Planning process.
• Strong understanding of CCAR related regulatory filings and Enhanced Prudential Standards regulatory impact.
• Demonstrated competency and skill with Treasury and Capital Planning at large Financial Institutions.
• Experience with Financials ERP systems (i.e. PeopleSoft; Oracle; SAP) and/or Treasury Analytical platforms (Moody’s Risk Authority, OFSAA, WKFS, Axiom)
