Position Summary
The Technology Sourcing Manager will report to the Director of Sourcing & Procurement and interface with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as suppliers. This person will primarily work with the IT organization and will be responsible for developing category sourcing & negotiation strategies for acquiring hardware, software and services, as well as reducing costs and achieving organizational objectives. Must be proficient with sourcing, negotiating, reviewing, administrating contracts and will work to continue to improve sourcing processes across the company.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for sourcing over $25 million in software, assets, networking as well as taking on other key business areas
• Understanding and meeting the needs of the business groups
• Challenge spend behaviour for measurable improvements
• Manage multiyear enterprise agreement negotiations and vendor relationships
• Work cross-functionally across the company for sourcing requirements
• Develop, execute and enforce sourcing strategies across multiple locations
• Align business and purchasing objectives across the company
• Improve and implement process changes
• Work with business to create and execute RFPs and manage multiple competitive bid processes
Qualifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Bachelors’ Degree preferred
• 5-7 years’ experience in a sourcing, negotiating or procurement role, with direct experience in IT
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Critical thinking, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills required
• Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and work with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
• Ability to travel up to 20% as needed
• Strong organization skills and the ability to define process workflows in collaboration with other teams
