Equifax is seeking a forward thinking Senior Director of Product Management to lead products within the Data Driven Marketing organization which includes a portfolio of financial and economic data focused marketing services products.
The Senior Director will be responsible for bringing product development and new releases to existing products to market. The Director will analyze data, market feedback and develop innovative products that deliver insights to DDM clients. They will take lead in defining requirements for these data products to enable greater client value by delivering these insights through digital channels and platforms. This person will also take point on advocating the products internally as well as externally with partners, sales teams and major clients.
Equifax Data Driven Marketing services works with a wide range of industries including, Banking, Brokerage, Hospitality, Auto, Retail, Telco and Insurance, providing FCRA and non-FCRA Marketing Services solutions built from our unique data assets which help our clients solve complex problems through all marketing channels, providing insights through our unique capabilities including predictive models, cloud- based software and real-time deployment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Gathering market requirements, understanding and clearly articulating market problems
• Writing market/business requirements, clearly communicating use cases value proposition and building business cases for their portfolio
• Developing and testing concepts, building prototypes and validating market ability of product
• Leading product concepts through Equifax New Product Innovation (NPI) process
• Innovation, growth and profitability of products within a defined growth strategy
• Market and contributor financial / economic data analysis for product releases
• Working with internal business partners, identify build, buy, partner scenarios to meet priority objectives
• Examine information to identify trends and compare to household based data models and geographic market estimates
• Identify digital channels that enables DDM clients to engage their consumers with innovative solutions
• Horizontal and vertical market assessments to support the development of financial market level benchmarks
• Advise the overall product line and individual product market strategy
• Ensure product releases meet the functionality, performance and quality standards
• Use meaningful Equifax data assets and analytics capabilities to lead improved product innovation based on client/market needs
• Plan the launch of products releases jointly with Product Marketing and Marketing Communications including sales tools, product documentation and collateral; and work with expanded product marketing teams to refine for specific verticals and/or business units
• Work closely with Sales, IT, Analytics, Marketing and Operations to set and manage to contribution deadlines
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 7-10 years in a B2B Product Management role in a complex business environment
• Bachelor's degree (MBA degree preferred) in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics or similar
• Experience managing a team is required
• Experience in digital marketing, ad tech or consumer marketing data required
• Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategy to tactical activities
• Specifying market requirements for existing and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers
• Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development and Marketing) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
• Developing and implementing a company-wide GTM plan
• Experience manipulating data and applying basic statistics to solve problems
• Solid working knowledge of market research and marketing analysis concepts
• Experience working with Sales teams to ensure proper delivery of product messages
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate cross-functional team members
• Experience determining customer business challenges, developing concepts, executing product development, and executing product releases in a dynamic environment
• Experience in executing product plans and roadmaps to advance a data driven business
• Agile / SCRUM product development mindset or experience is preferred
Skills and Abilities:
• Hands-on with a curiosity for applying data to solving consumer marketing challenges
• Familiar with Pragmatic Marketing framework
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, creative thinking and conceptual planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Supports an atmosphere where individuals are encouraged to collaborate as a team
• Detail oriented; customer and market centric philosophy and the ability to work in a dynamic group environment
• Demonstrated abilities in interacting with and influencing technical, business and executive personnel
• Strong Project Management skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel/Access and PowerPoint
