DETAILED JOB DUTIES
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders, vendors, community organizations, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility
• Provide expert consultative support to managers and employees on human resources and employee relations issues.
• Monitor and maintain all Department of Labor unemployment notices, potential charges, coach and guide operational management through the hearing process prior to attending hearing, attend hearings as required, maintain the monthly experience rating report for accuracy of claims charged to the company’s accounts.
• Monitor and maintain the Company’s leave of absence and Family Medical Leave benefits. Ensures all human resources team members are notified of the potential or ongoing status of leave for each employee. Partner with third party administrator and act as a liaison to the employee and to management. Respond to all requests for leave with formal documentation. Review the leave requirements with each employee and manager prior to the commencement of the leave. Creation and communication of related reports.
• Coordination and support of the company Charity and/or Wellness programs and employee activities, coordination and communication of non-traditional benefits

• Compensation and benefits administration
• Consultation with legal support as necessary

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in personnel/Human Resources management or 3 - 5 years related experience.
• 3 – 5 years experience specializing in employee relations.
• Must be able to manage competing demands, accept constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills are required.
• Intermediate Microsoft office skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.
• Practical work experience within employee relations area.
• Knowledge of employment laws and practices.
• Strong working knowledge of US employment laws and procedures for handling FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.
• Strong working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including but not limited to employee relations, compensation practices and employee development.
• Demonstrated experience and ability in consulting and influencing business partners.
• Working knowledge of HR information systems
• Strong problem solving skills
• May require some travel inside the US.
WORK CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance.
