Fitch Group is seeking a Senior Director to join its Corporate Development team. The Senior Director will play a critical role in identifying, sourcing acquisition candidates and strategic venture capital investments.
The role will report directly to the Head of Finance and Corporate Development and will work closely with the Head of Fitch Group Ventures as well as with senior Fitch Group leadership.
This opportunity is a newly created position to meet the growth strategy of the Fitch Group.
Responsibilities
• Compile extensive market research, including conducting and synthesizing expert and customer interviews
• Identify and assess acquisition targets as well as early stage investments that align with Fitch Group’s strategic initiatives
• Facilitate dialog with external parties to tap into opportunities before they go into auction process
• Becoming central to ecosystem of buyers and sellers in areas of strategic focus
• Support initial dialog and negotiations as well as challenge deal theses for acquisition targets, as required
Required Skills
• Excellent with critical thinking and analytics
• Comfortable working on new topics with no previous knowledge base
• Comfort with self-starting and proven ability to perform in time-sensitive situations
• Fluent in PowerPoint and Excel
Desired Experience
• 5+ years of strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience
• Top performer in previous role(s)
• Information Services experience highly preferable
