This internship will be part of First Tennessee's BUSINESS BANKING group.
Position is located in Brentwood, TN.
This Internship will provide:

Our Internship program is a 9 week PAID program that starts on Monday, June 3, 2019 and runs through Friday, August 2, 2019.
Intern Objective: The goal of this Internship is to provide the Intern with comprehensive and hands-on credit analysis experience in a corporate commercial banking environment.
Value for the Intern: The internship will provide the Intern with exposure to key banking executives in the market, an overview of banking career paths, and hands-on experience with live transactions.
Delivery: The Intern will be provided various types of training opportunities including structured in-class training, on-the-job training, and informal one-on-one discussions with experienced bankers.
Job Description:
This Intern will assist with:
• Analyzing credit information to determine risk involved in lending money to commercial customers, and prepares reports of findings. Supports Commercial Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Credit Risk Managers through financial statement spreading and analysis of new commercial loan requests as well as existing credit relationships.
• Analyzing factors such as income growth, margins, trends, quality management, market share, potential risks of industry and collateral appraisal. - Preparing credit and cash flow analysis, submits credit approval documents and write-ups to PM for decision.
• Conducting industry analysis and other special projects.
• Industry research for sales and prospecting, attends additional training classes and seminars.
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Average 40 hours per week.

Ability to use all Microsoft Office 2007 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook)
Preferred Marketing or Business Major
• Good organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong written/verbal communication skills and must be comfortable communicating with all levels of management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on simultaneous projects or initiatives.
