Job Summary:
The Strategic Initiative Leader is responsible for managing one to multiple projects and/or supporting directors in strategic engagements. This leader is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the initiative and is responsible for leading and actively managing associated plans, governance, issues, risks, and resource needs to ensure successful delivery.
Major Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the build/expansion of connectivity for new or existing Offshore Delivery Centers to bank standards
• Manage day to day operations for 14 Offshore Delivery Centers and 5 Onshore Delivery Centers, ensure no issues with ODC’s connectivity
• Coordinate Onboarding of offshore resources
• Manage capacity planning for ODC's
• Monitor offshore controls
• Alerts and escalations management
• Manage reporting on offshore operations
• Develop project plans, timelines and communications
• Monitor programs and services to ensure they meet stated goals
• Responsible for the development of execution plans to ensure successful delivery of commitments
• Partners with directors and project sponsor to understand the direction and needs of the effort as well as the current processes in order to identify and recommend improvements
• Delivers initiatives on time, on budget, and within scope
• Provides regular status updates including reporting obstacles or variances that cannot be resolved that would impede the delivery of the initiative on time and within budget
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree required, MBA is preferred
• 10-15 years program/project management, offshore delivery center management and offshore migrations experience
• Working knowledge in Financial Services preferred
• Six sigma certification and /or demonstrated application and thorough understanding of six sigma tools for process-re-engineering in financial services industry or comparable experience is a positive.
• Microsoft project proficient and experience with project management methodologies
• Priority setting, problem solving, negotiating, and conflict management skills.
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently.
• Ability to coordinate and direct activities of others.
