Job Description
Position Description
Lead a team of analysts in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting for Ally's growing automotive insurance business. Provide valuable insight into financial trends and results, and work closely with business leaders to set expectations for the future.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead a team focused on delivering financial forecast/plan, analysis, and reporting
• Understand all components of volume, revenue, expense and their drivers
• Maintain forecast models/processes for volume, revenue, loss, expense, and balance sheet
• Coordinate with the business on key forecast, business plan, and stress test assumptions
• Prepare annual business plan and regulatory stress test volume and financial projections and documentation
• Analyze actual financial results and variances to forecast/business plan
• Work with business partners on new product implementations/changes and assess impact on financial results
• Support product and customer profitability analytics processes
• Compile, maintain and publish management reporting related to volume, revenue, loss, and expense trends
• Lead special projects and complete ad hoc requests
Qualifications
• BS/BBA degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required; MBA preferred
• 5+ years previous work experience in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Proven track record of driving accurate and timely individual and team results with minimal ongoing direction
• Ability to organize and filter through large quantities of data, perform independent analysis, and provide themes, trends and explanations to management
• Attention to detail and the right attitude necessary to deliver on requirements
• Motivated/self-starter looking to make a difference
• Ability to drive change and initiate/execute process improvements
• Energetic and inquisitive, quick learner, takes initiative and works with a sense of urgency
• Exhibits analytical curiosity
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Strong presentation building skills (MS PowerPoint)
• Ability to influence others and work effectively to collaborate in a cross-functional matrix environment
• Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) required
