Individual Investor Opportunity: Associate Product Manager – Library Services

The Role: Morningstar’s Library Services team seeks an enthusiastic, organized, and results-driven Associate Product Manager. We’re looking for a self-starter with a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and solid writing abilities. The successful candidate will work closely with our small team to manage the research distribution product, Morningstar Investment Research Center, and deliver results for our library clients. This position is based in Chicago.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all product enhancements to ensure successful launch; define business requirements, interface with development team and partner teams on execution strategy; own testing strategy and review/sign off.
• Collaborate across client services, sales teams, and development teams to improve workflow processes.
• Execute day to day tasks related to account management and product support
• Communicate updates to sales team as well as clients to promote product enhancements
• Own program analysis and leverage data to make recommendations for ongoing program enhancements.
• Partner with Sales Reps to ensure a strong presence at industry conferences and events. Coordinate registrations, exhibit materials, booth collateral planning, and the like.
• Assist clients with technical issues and subscription questions; work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Perform monthly training webinars and coordinate ad-hoc training requests for clients and library patrons to help them navigate the product.
• Write and edit a monthly e-newsletter, marketing copy, ongoing updates via social media, and letters to clients.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business, communications, or related field.
+ 1-3 years of experience, preferably in a client support or product role.
+ Strong analytical and demonstrated organizational skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an interest in product development.
+ Previous relevant work experience in the investment industry and knowledge of investment data a plus.
+ Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
+ Occasional travel may be required.
