Job Description:
Summary:
In this Data Analyst role, you will provide insight to the business on our customers, with emphasis on our broker distribution channel. You will lead projects with internal clients to provide statistical analysis and reporting related to marketing and sales programs. You will identify and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), handle database transformation and management to track broker behaviors and life cycles, track and report new sales and renewals, provide sales trending and create key customer profiles. A key part of the Data Analyst’s responsibilities is to manage the broker engagement program analysis, data load process and production, as well.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage broker engagement analysis and reporting: data manipulation, content, format, design, maintenance and production schedule for broker engagement team. Evaluate findings in tandem with broker engagement team to glean insights both customers and internal stakeholders can operationalize
• Manage monthly data load for analytic data mart and reporting process, data scrubbing and ensuring data integrity. Coordination with SalesForce Administration team, finance and broker engagement team is required
• Monthly MVP sales reports, national accounts and key accounts monthly reporting
• Yearly reporting for MVP metrics, pricing and persistency and broker engagement goals
• Identify opportunities to provide valuable insights and proactive marketing efforts through evaluation and creation of data sources. This role reports through the broker engagement team and this team values innovation and “doing things differently”
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting
Preferred Experience:
• 2 to 5 years of experience with SQL or large scale relational databases
• 2 to 5 years of experience with statistical software, SAS preferred
• Requires expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including Visual Basic for Applications), and working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
• 2 to 5 years of experience in analysis measuring marketing programs and sales strategies
• Insurance industry knowledge preferred
• Requires the ability to manage multiple projects and associated timelines, and adaptability to changing needs
• Requires ability to change directions quickly to accommodate opportunities to provide value to both internal and external stakeholders
• Requires the ability to collect, organize, manipulate and process data and information from multiple sources and verify its accuracy
• Requires the ability to understand a customer’s business and data environment and to provide appropriate solutions and recommendations
• Requires good oral, written and presentation skills to effectively communicate results to management
• SalesForce experience desired
Education:
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Mathematics or a related field
• Masters degree in a related field is desirable
