At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Minimum of six years of hands-on relevant experience in providing system support to state, local or federal government.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems and software.
Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution
Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
Contributes to knowledge bases of work around and solution scripts.
Responds to email messages for customers seeking help.
Asks questions to determine nature of problem.
Walks customer through problem-solving process.
Runs diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
Follows up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
Obtains feedback from customers about computer usage.
Runs reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
Provides system navigation training on a regular basis to new users.
Experience with or certification in Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management (OPPM) preferred.
eCPIC system experience or other similar Oracle product experience acceptable.
Troubleshooting, resolving, and documenting reported problems and issues. Performing break/fix functions and capturing solutions and work-around in the knowledge base.
Provides assessments regarding current, state-of-the-art and industrial trends in the computer field.
Designs and implements computer algorithms, and reviews existing legacy code systems considering current "best business" practices of computer science.
Must have knowledge of computer languages.
Provide experience in performing computer systems analysis and programming in broad-based business oriented (non-tactical Automatic Data Processing (ADP) projects including system level analysis, design, development, and implementation.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field is required.
Certifications related to Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management (OPPM) desired. Certifications or skills related to C, C++, Java, html, SOA and other object-oriented methodologies is desired, but not required.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
