To provide professional and courteous service to all guest utilizing the spa for services or spa amenities, fitness center and fitness classes as well as maintain locker rooms, overall spa facilities and fitness center to include cleanliness, guest amenities, robes, towels, restocking and putting away clean linen, taking out dirty linen and monitoring and running the clean and dirty laundry bins as needed.
Job Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:To provide professional and courteous service to all guest utilizing the spa for services or spa amenities, fitness center and fitness classes as well as maintain locker rooms, overall spa facilities and fitness center to include cleanliness, guest amenities, robes, towels, restocking and putting away clean linen, taking out dirty linen and monitoring and running the clean and dirty laundry bins as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
• Prior guest service experience, preferably in a hotel or resort spa
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English both verbal and written.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Escort guests to locker rooms upon check in, give them a brief tour of the facility and assign them a locker, robe, sandals and towel as well as provide any additional items needed. Maintain locker rooms, spa, fitness center and relaxation areas to Nalu standards and ensure proper supply of guest amenities. Maintain positive guest relations at all times, while anticipating their needs to provide a superior spa experience. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures and company standards. Be knowledgeable of all spa services, fitness memberships and fitness classes. On-time attendance is necessary, and uninterrupted work is expected. Report all items in need of repair to management team immediately. Keep work area and surrounding spa/fitness areas clean and neat and in proper working order. Ensure personal grooming is up to company standards, in full clean and pressed uniform with name tags. Monitor schedule frequently to ensure you are aware of any changes or additions. Provide outstanding guest service by offering water, towels, guest supplies etc… Monitor laundry hampers and empty frequently, put away clean linen and perform laundry runs with clean and dirty laundry bins when needed. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain the cleanliness of the Spa area as needed to include locker rooms and relaxation areas. Attend product knowledge training and departmental meetings as required. Keep current and up to date knowledge of changing trends and developments in the department. Will perform additional duties as requested by immediate superior.
